Golfers Who Made
The Switch.
Real golfers. Real swings. Real results.
I've played Pro V1s for six years because that's what everyone plays. Took the Corsair quiz on a whim, got matched to the XDRIVE, and honestly couldn't tell the difference off the tee — except my drives were straighter. Saved myself $30 a dozen too.
The quiz matched me to the XPRO based on my swing speed and I was skeptical. But the feel around the greens is genuinely impressive for the price. I shoot in the low 80s and this ball holds up against anything I've played at twice the cost.
Bought the 5 dozen bundle and stocked up for the whole season. At $145 for five dozen I was expecting a range ball situation. These are legitimately good golf balls. My buddies asked what I switched to after I was striping it last Saturday.

FAQ
Have a question?
We've got you.
The most common things golfers ask before making the switch.
-
Seven quick questions about your swing speed, typical score, how often you play, and what you want most from a ball. Based on your answers we match you to the XPRO or the XDRIVE — whichever is actually built for your swing, not a tour pro's. Takes under 2 minutes. No account needed. If you're not sure about your swing speed, no problem — the quiz has alternative questions that get to the same answer.
-
The short version: one is built for faster swings that want control, the other for moderate swings that want distance and straighter ball flight.
XPRO — 3-layer urethane construction. For swing speeds of 90mph and above. Designed to give you premium feel off the putter and wedges, maximum spin control around the greens, and the kind of ball flight that rewards a golfer scoring in the 75–90 range.
XDRIVE — 2-layer ionomer construction. For swing speeds under 95mph. Low spin reduces your slice or hook off the tee, the larger core maximises distance, and it's built for golfers who play for enjoyment and improvement — scoring between 90 and 115. Not sure which one is yours? The quiz tells you in 2 minutes. -
Yes — most people don't. The quiz asks alternative questions like your typical score, your most common miss off the tee, and how you'd describe your ball flight. Those answers get us to the same match without you ever needing to know a number. If you've been fitted for clubs before you may have heard your swing speed — but if not, don't worry about it.

If you're playing the wrong ball for your swing — yes. Most golfers are. The most common situation we see: a 14–18 handicap playing Pro V1s because that's what everyone plays. Pro V1s are engineered for 105mph swing speeds and PGA-caliber ball striking. If that's not your game, that ball is working against you on almost every shot. Switch to a ball matched to your actual swing and the difference shows up immediately in straighter drives and a ball that behaves the way you expect it to. If you're already playing the right construction for your swing speed, the difference will be smaller — which is exactly why the quiz matters.

Corsair balls are built to the same construction standards as premium balls in their class. For competitive tournament play we recommend checking with your specific tournament or league organizers, as equipment rules vary. For recreational rounds, weekend golf, member-guest events, and most amateur league play, you're good to go.
